The UL-508A mark certifies that all details of the integration including the components located in an Enclosure and/or on a backplane were designed and installed within the manufactures intended specifications / limits of design.  It also certifies that the interconnecting of these components meets and exceeds the intended purpose of the device and or any other code requirement.

ICSE will verify all UL or ULC (Canadian) requirements are met or exceeded prior to placing a UL-508A sticker.  Possible inspection by a certified UL inspector may be required in some cases.

  • Panel engineered design along with each component is evaluated for compliance with UL, NEC / NFPA and applicable Safety Codes.
  • All components must be approved for use in the application and for compatibility with other components within the system.
  • Proper circuit protection within the panel will be verified / engineered for compliance with UL rules and requirements.
  • All enclosures will be verified / selected to insure that all environmental conditions are met.
  • All normal design criteria will be verified.  Items such as component clearances, finger safety, conductor size, bending radius of wiring, proper wire terminations, various voltage separations, ground fault protection and any other engineering design that would compromise ratings of selected components will be carefully reviewed.

CSA and other certifications are available upon request.
